Commitment in Ministry

One Sunday, our praise and worship ministry team got a lot of problems. Our practice should be one hour before the service but it takes more than 2 hours of practice because someone unexpectedly joined in and many criticisms during the practice. Our song leader got distracted because someone just unexpectedly joined on the day of practice. Criticism is good but it should be put in the right place and time. People kept criticizing without thinking the time was running out and bragged that they practiced the songs just two of them. After the service, they held a meeting for the praise and worship team just to tell weak points based on their standards. Started to blame the chords on the lyrics, the notes, the songs that chose, and the link that passed. First, if you are a professional musician, it is easy for you to adjust, especially if you can see the members are still neophytes. But he expected all must be the same on the video that passed which can be only used as a reference. Their disappointments on that day just because we are both different from each other. And the way they said it is different.

Being in a ministry is not community volunteer work; you can join in and out whenever you want. It is a commitment, where you sacrifice your time, effort, and sometimes money. If you will look back on the Bible you will see how God calls people on their missions and ministry and their sacrifices in life.
